Four Winds Project

Four Winds is a community outreach ministry of Southland Community Church. Ultimately there are four goals for this project:

(1) Life Controlling Behaviours

Stefan Duerksen runs cell groups for women and men on Wednesday nights especially for people who are struggling with life controlling behaviours such as drug or alcohol addiction, pornography, or other sin or bondages. Please call the church office if you are interested in joining a Four Winds cell.

(2) Personal Prayer Ministry Teams

If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, fear, or bondage to sin we would love to pray with you and invite God into your situation. In our sessions we follow the Holy Spirit in prayer as we seek to bring spiritual healing in dealing with sin and bondage, inner healing of emotions and memories and deliverance from spiritual strongholds and generational sin. Sessions are available by appointment.

(3) Social Outreach

Each October we hold our Food & Clothing Drive. We also have numerous Single Parent Events and Foster/Adoptive Parent Training and events during the year. Watch for dates!

(4) Life Skills

Courses are offered on: Cooking, Parenting, Boundaries, Budgeting, Organization & Time Management, Apply for & Keeping a Job and Communication & Conflict Resolution, These courses are offered at varying times during the year. Four Winds News

Four Winds Gets Land!

There have been some exciting developments lately for the Four Winds Project. Through the fall God was working in the hearts of two Southland families to gift a 4 acre piece of R3 zoned land to the church for development of apartment style housing for people needing assisted housing such as recovering addicts in the program, single moms etc. What an incredible gift! This piece of land is of sufficient size for 4 -24 unit appartments and is located a few hundred feet from the church building!

Four Winds Christmas Offering Announced

Ray Duerksen announced that this years Christmas offering will be designated toward the funds needed to build the first (of 4) appartment units. To watch the announcement, click here!
