Young Adults

The Young Adult Ministry exists for young adults (graduated to 25 years of age) who are becoming passionate followers of Jesus Christ and who strive to live out the core values of our church. The Young Adult Ministry is comprised of cell groups who, together in community and under the leadership of their cell leader and the church, seek to grow in intimacy with God through prayer, worship, discussion and bible study.

Cell Groups:
Cells are groups of people who get together once a week. Typically a cell meeting would last 1.5 to 2 hours. They are filled with fellowship, worship, prayer and discussion. We also have 4 cell groups for students in post secondary education meeting in Winnipeg. If this is something that interests you, please give the Forefront office a call at 326-9020 ext. 303.

The Watch:
“The Watch” is a worship and prayer event taking place on the third weekend of every month at 7:00 pm. The goal of its inception was, and continues to be, to prepare ourselves for the return of Jesus and to pray and intercede for our community and nation.

The Next Watch: February 26, 2012 at 7:00 pm (Southland Community Church)

As we grow in relationship with Christ through community we begin to develop and practice:
Love for the word: We seek to grow in a thirst for God through His word and His truth.
Purity of heart: Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
Character: Romans 5:4 we seek to grow in character and right standing with God as we live lives filled with the Holy Spirit, being continually renewed by Him.
Intimacy with God: We want to have a love relationship with our creator and grow in relationship with Him. Intimacy is a vital part of growing in relationship with God. We want to be people after God’s own heart, passionately pursuing Him and His will.
Repentance and humility: As we grow in closer relationship with Christ, our repentance and humility should also grow as we become refined into His likeness.
Prayer and listening prayer: We wholeheartedly believe that God still speaks today. As a result, we emphasize listening prayer as part of our prayer life. Not only should we talk to God but we should also allow Him to talk to us through His Holy Spirit.
